Our Musical Yearbooks

It’s always interesting to me to go back and listen to our past records. It feels like finding an old high school yearbook, in a way. I listen to these songs and think about where we recorded them, what our lives were like, what we ate while we were in the studio… We kind of have our own version of superlatives we give to songs while we’re in the studio. You have the songs you think might be a hit, the ones you KNOW are hits, the ones you can’t wait to perform live. It’s almost like we asign expectations to them. Then after you release the record you get to see what actually lies in store for your recent graduates, and most of the time it turns out way better than any of us could have planned ourselves.

I just would like to tell you Bear that I just love your voice. I was browsing Youtube and found the Something Beautiful acostic that was uploaded by CosmoGirl and I was very touched by your genuine and moving lyrics! I have been going through a tough time and your music has really helped me to see the big picture. I believe that we all want to be touched by God. I am truly amazed that I didn’t find you guys sooner! I also believe that God allows us to find certain things in life when it is in His timing. I also love the new album. The sound is incredible (as well as the voice). I hope to see you guys in concert when you come to Albuquerque or close by like El Paso, Denver, Phoenix. May God richly bless you and your families.
