The Reckoning Tour Recap

posted by: Joe Stillwell

We’re a few weeks removed from The Reckoning Tour, and that offers me a chance to look back and reminisce apart from the hectic mess that touring can sometimes be.

In retrospect, this is my favorite tour we’ve ever done. It was our first chance to bring the songs from The Reckoning to our fans the way we really wanted to… with a huge typewriter backdrop. Along with the gigantic typewriter we brought a bunch of new songs. This was our chance to see first hand how y’all would react to them live, and I can’t think of a single disappointing moment. We played (and often sold out) some of our favorite venues of all time… The Ryman, The Tabernacle, The Fillmore, Alabama Theater, the 9:30 Club… the list goes on and on. Night in and night out y’all showed up ready to go and reinvigorated us every single time. Thank you.

Over the next couple months the NEEDTOBREATHE to-do list is starting to look pretty interesting. We’re playing some great festivals in June, including Bonnaroo on the 8th. Then in July we’ll be heading back to Europe! We had an absolutely amazing experience our first trip across the pond, and this is shaping up to be even bigger. We’ll be performing in France and across the UK and Ireland, making our first ever visits to Manchester, Dublin, and Wales. We’re also showing up at the Hard Rock Calling festival in London alongside musical giants Bruce Springsteen and Paul Simon! We’re foaming at the mouth to get back out and play for y’all so be sure to bring your big boy pants. See ya soon.

    Hello
I love to listen to “Something Beautiful”! My son kyle and I listened to many of your songs. But this song really brings me joy since he passed away. I miss him every second of my life!!!! He was such a sweet boy! He loved your songs because they made him happy it seemed. I wish I could listen to your songs with him again. I love you KYLE!!!!

Hey Guys! I just wanted to say thank you for your gig in Swansea on Friday. I’m sure most bands would have cancelled the show if they were going to be late and if they didn’t they certainly would have if the sound system didn’t work properly! You are all true musicians and showed what music is all about, an awesome gig that I will never forget. Keep up the good work and I hope the rest of the tour goes without a hitch!!
