We’ve been at home for a few days now, and, as usual, I’m ready to get back out on tour. Y’all probably get tired of hearing me say that, but it’s true. Playing live is my FAVORITE part of being in a band. It is nice to have some time at home to get a few things sorted out. I had a lovely trip to the DMV yesterday, and today I acted as Bo’s consigliere in the purchase of a new grill. In case you didn’t know, the role of “grill consigliere” is a position of great honor and demands the utmost respect. I did get to see a show Monday night. Our friend Mat Kearney was at the Music Farm with Ingrid Michaelson. It was fun to catch up with some old friends, and Mat even invited Bo and I onstage for a rousing rendition of “Learning to Fly.” Good times all around. We’ve got a show at Six Flags in ATL tomorrow. The best thing about playing a show at an amusement park is that you get to go to the front of the line for all the rollercoasters. Typically, the park will assign us an “amusement consigliere” (which is almost as important as a grill consigliere) to take us around to all the rides. So please don’t hate us if we cut in front of you tomorrow. Your dirty looks aren’t helping anyone.
