Summer festival season is in full swing! It definitely keeps us on our toes. You never know if you’ll be playing your gear or rental gear, and sometimes we just have to pack as much of our gear as we can fit on a commercial airliner… most of the shows are outdoors, so the weather is always interesting… there’s an endless variety of “fair food” to choose from (pretty much all of it fried). The best part of summer festivals for me is the variety of great bands we get to share the stage with. We played Summerfest in Milwaukee a couple nights ago right before O.A.R., and tonight we’re playing Taste of MN with Gin Blossoms, Augustana, and Counting Crows! I cannot wait to hear Counting Crows! All things considered, Summer is a great time for live music, and we’re glad y’all brave the elements to come hear us play. We’ll see ya out there in the mud and heat!
P.S. Happy Fourth of July, everyone! Eat some watermelon, grill some burgers and dogs, and shoot off all kinds of illegal fireworks for us! Hooray for independence!
