Brand New Cadillac!

It’s a rainy day in Memphis today. It makes me wonder what Elvis might have done on rainy days. We toured Graceland the last time we were here, and as cool as it was, it left the impression on me that Elvis’ activities were probably pretty random. And that’s completely appropriate when you’re young, the biggest star in the world, and have a ridiculous amount of money. Why not cover a whole room, floor to ceiling, in carpet?! Dream on, dreamer! We heard a story a few years back that if Elvis liked someone or if someone did him a favor, sometimes he would just point at them and say, “Brand new Cadillac.” Someone in his entourage would then arrange to give said person a brand new Cadillac. How cool is that! I’m not quite on the “Brand new Cadillac” level, but I definitely feel like I can pull off “Turkey sandwich” or “Gently used scooter.” At some point in my life I WILL “BNC” someone! Hopefully I will also have an entourage to take care of that for me. We’ll see y’all tonight in Memphis! Come ready to rock!
